IRIS VAN HERPEN
FASHION AND GRAPHICAL DESIGN INTERNSHIP
During my experience working at Iris Van Herpen Atelier in Amsterdam, I have been working on various projects and designs assisting at all stages of design production. My duties were to create/change patterns, construct, drape and sew dresses, create patterns and technical packages
in Illustrator as well as lead accessories project for a pop-up store in New York.
ABOUT
My internship has started by taking part in Seijaku Couture Collection AW16 development presented on Paris Fashion Week.
MY ROLE
I had to develop the dress finding
the best solutions for the designer's
idea implementation as well as
taking part in the other dresses
development, which were presented
at Paris Fashion Week IVH show.
SEIJAKU COLLECTION

I worked on model casting, fashion show backstage, fittings and fixing shoes and dresses before the show.

MY ROLE
ABOUT
During the internship I had a chance
to manage and lead bag and belt
design development project for
pop-up shop in New York.
MY ROLE
I had to design and develop patterns, technical packages and mockups for bags, clutches, purses and belts in different sizes and make sure that all technical packages, mockups, materials and trimmings are ready for vendors
for manufacturing.

MY ROLE
I had to create and develop patterns
in repeat technique, suitable for laser
cut molds and silicone. I worked on brief, inspiration and pattern development in Adobe Illustrator.
ABOUT
The task was to develop two different patterns for silicone molds, which got later used for some designs from "Between The Lines" collection.

I was participating in various design projects for the exhibitions, galleries, museums as well as private orders.
MY ROLE
I had to take over and continue projects,
or oppositely delegating your work to
colleges, making sure your started
technique is clearly explained. My
duty was to adjust patterns, construct
and sew base dress or finishing the
dress with hand sewing techniques.
